Public School Choice
The Rolla 31 School District has two buildings in Title I School Improvement, Truman Elementary and Middle School. Under the Federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), the School Choice option is available to all parents whose child attends a Title I school in School Improvement. The Rolla 31 School District has a single attendance center at the Middle School (no other middle school with the same grade span); therefore, the School Choice option cannot be offered.
Students assigned to Truman Elementary have the option of requesting a transfer to Wyman Elementary or Mark Twain Elementary. While there is no guarantee the district will be able to honor a parent's first choice, a transfer to one of these two options will be granted upon application.
