On 10 August 2008,  S2S sponsored a “New Student” Ice Cream Social for all students and their families that were new to the Rolla Public School District.  Our principal, Mr. Hounsom welcomed all the students and hoped that they had a great start to the new school year.   He wanted them to feel at home at RJH.  

S2S welcomed the students with games and activities which were enjoyed by young and old alike.  

Each new student and their family was then given a tour of the school and was escorted from class to class so that new students would know where their classrooms were located.  They were able to ask questions about the school with the hope of quelling the apprehension students feel in new surroundings.
    
The students and their families all enjoyed making Ice Cream Sundaes to suit their personal taste buds.  S2S also provided each new student with a RJH ditty bag filled with a wealth of information regarding the school and the offerings in our Rolla community.  A wonderful time was had by all our attendees.
